Zeist, Amsterdam, 7 January 2025 – Achmea Investment Management and Impact Orange Partners have entered into a partnership to accelerate impact investing. The aim of the collaboration is to make more investment solutions available that demonstrably contribute to the conservation and restoration of biodiversity.

In the coming years, about one million plant and animal species are at risk of being lost. The rate of this biodiversity loss is higher than ever and has a heavy impact on our society. It is estimated that more than 50% of the global gross national product depends on healthy ecosystems. Restoring this balance is a huge challenge and Dutch institutional investors can make a material contribution to this.

Achmea IM and Impact Orange Partners are joining forces to contribute to this by developing investment strategies and making them accessible to institutional investors. Achmea IM advises institutional investors such as pension funds on impact and investment strategies and portfolio construction. Impact Orange Partners offers specialized knowledge in the field of impact analysis, fund selection, impact measurement and monitoring.

This collaboration is an important step towards making investments in biodiversity more common and contributes to bridging the current funding gap.
